Hatha Yoga
Lindsay has been practicing yoga since childhood and attended her first class in her early teens.
She began her Hatha training in 2000 after much encouragement from her teacher and then went on to train as an Iyengar teacher in 2010. She now holds a level 2 certificate and as well as attending a weekly class with her regular senior teacher she attends as many workshops and courses as she can to continue her studies.
She teaches many classes a week , from beginners to more advanced. Also easy and gentle classes for people who would feel out of their depth in a general class, who benefit from more help and support. Some of her students have been with her since she first qualified and she has seen how yoga can be practiced throughout your whole life as the poses can be modified and adapted to suit age, lifestyle and circumstance.
She regularly teaches workshops and loves to see the benefits that students get, especially from the restorative poses.
This week she will be teaching an active morning practice to open, stretch and strengthen . The evening practice will be restorative to calm, quieten, restore and rejuvenate.
She has been teaching yoga since 2002 continuously updating her qualifications. She additionally teaches yoga to children in schools since completing the Yoga*d Up training.
She has practiced many styles, including Hatha, Astanga, Sivananda and Yin Yoga and her main influence is Iyengar. Classes on this holiday will be a mix of yoga styles with importance placed on the postures.
