Ashtanga & Yin Yoga with Joanne Evans
Joanne's yoga journey began in 2001, and from the very first class she attended, she knew she had discovered something special. Mohan, a Free Spirit Yoga teacher was one of her earliest teachers, whose dedication, wisdon and inspirational teaching left a lasting impression on her and helped shape her yoga path.
Inspired by the positive impact yoga had on her wellbeing, Joanne enrolled on a 200 hour Teacher Training Course in Liverpool , followed by a 300 hour couse in India.
Since 2015 she has returned regularly to India to continue her yoga studies. Her commitment to lifelong learning has led her to qualify as a Yin Yoga Teacher, Tibetan Singing Bowl Sound Bath Practitioner, Aromatherapy Massage Therapist and Reiki Healer. She uses these techniques in her teaching to help nurture the body, mind and spirit as a whole.
Joanne believes that yoga should be accessible, supportive and free from judgement. Her classes incorporate options and modifications, enabling students of varying abilities and levels to participate comfortably and confidently.
Morning classes will begin with a 90 minute Ashtanga inspired yoga practice, incorporating the teachings of the Eight Limbs of Yoga. These sessions will awaken the body, focus the mind and cultivate a deeper connection with yourself.
Afternoon practice will offer a gentler, more nurturing approach through Yin and Restorative Yoga, balancing the dynamic energy of the morning sessions. Each practice will be centred around a theme, providing opportunities for self-reflection, personal growth and deeper awareness.
Throughout the retreat, participants will experience deeply relaxing practices including Tibetan Singing Bowl Sound Baths, Yoga Nidri and Reiki healing sessions.
Joanne's inteniton is to create a warm welcoming retreat where you can step away from everyday life, reconnect with yourself and return home feeling refreshed, inspired and empowered. She looks forward to welcoming you on the retreat.
