Hatha Yoga with Kirsty May

I am a kind, friendly experienced teacher. I have been teaching for 12 years. My classes have a relaxed friendly vibe, but are still challenging.

I teach Hatha, Hatha Flow, Yin, Special needs Yoga, Chair Yoga, Yoga for Surfers, SUP Yoga and SUP Fit. I have taught in the UK, Sri Lanka, France and Hungary. I teach workshops and retreats around the UK and abroad.

I love to see the transformation in people from before to after my classes. It inspires me and brings me happiness and peace that I can help people, physically, emotionally and spiritually.

Yoga and meditation is the best way to connect with your true self, come back to yourself, the perfect being underneath all the mind stuff. It is so beautiful and powerful when you connect with yourself in this way. I couldn't be without it.

I feel I am meant to be teaching Yoga and helping people.

On your yoga holiday I will do my best to bring you peace, balance, healing and relaxation. I believe you will feel happier, more focused in your life and ready to face any challenge. I will help you to feel love and happiness in your heart.

In meditation you can see things from a new foundation. Together we can go to the place inside ourselves which is always in peace, happy, calm, free and perfect.

I vary our yoga postures so as to suit all abilities. The style is fun and creative, yet focused and still challenging. The Hatha flows and contains many influences from various disciplines and teachers. Yoga will stretch, strengthen, tone, help you to align, and improves the health of the entire body.

My guided meditations will help you in different areas of your life and assist you to calm the mind and come into the present. We will practice pranayama (breath control) which benefits your mind,  whilst stimulating and bringing oxygen to every tissue in the body,
I first tried yoga at a festival in a tipi tent 15 years ago and was amazed by the way it made me feel afterwards. I was then taught by an amazing teacher who inspired me. Since then I have been hooked. I completed a Sivananda teacher training course in Kerela, India, and a Hatha Yoga teacher training with Universal Yoga in Dharamshala, India.
